When purchasing a hearing aid, we ask you for several personal and health details. We store this information in a personal file. These details are solely intended to enable us to keep in touch with you, select the appropriate hearing aid, and, if necessary, submit a reimbursement request to your health insurer.

For what period do we retain your personal data?
In principle, we do not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary. However, sometimes there are statutory obligations for retaining data or documents. For medical data such as hearing tests that fall under the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO), a retention period of 15 years applies. For fiscal documents such as invoices, a statutory retention period of 7 years applies.
How safe is your private information?
We handle your privacy with the utmost care and do everything we can to secure the stored personal data against loss or theft. Our staff have access to your personal file only if it is strictly necessary.
With whom do we share your personal data?
François Nicolle Hearing Aids only shares your personal data with third parties involved in delivering the hearing aid you have ordered or purchased. These include, for example, suppliers of hearing aids or health insurers who reimburse part of the purchase price of the product. If required, health data or results of hearing tests or examinations may also be shared with Audiological Centres or ENT specialists. We will not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise provide your personal data to third parties for their own purposes.
The right to view or update your personal information
You can always access the personal data we store in your personal file and request correction or deletion.

The publication of client experiences on our website only occurs with written consent.
For online orders, our usual terms and conditions of delivery apply. Here, we only request the strictly necessary personal details from the buyer, such as name, delivery address, and bank account number for processing the financial transaction.
